Together with the group&#8217;s Bilbao terminal, which inaugurated six cranes of the same type last month, these comprise the first 11 hybrid cranes in Europe. This action confirms the group&#8217;s commitment to environmental sustainability within its investment plan.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The cranes arrived at the dock last August, and four of them are already operational. The fifth will enter service next Friday, December 22nd. Costing \u20ac10.5 million, the purchase of the machinery is part of the company&#8217;s \u20ac120 million investment plan, which will be implemented over the next five years. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to providing greater operational efficiency to the terminal&#8217;s activity, the renewal of yard machinery also boosts the company&#8217;s environmental objective, reducing fossil fuel consumption by 30% compared to the latest cranes received in 2022 and by 60% compared to the oldest ones.<\/p>\n\n<p>This Investment Plan demonstrates CSP Spain&#8217;s firm commitment to the port as a strategic center on the western Mediterranean coast for handling import and export cargo generated in its area of \u200b\u200binfluence, as well as transshipment traffic.<s><\/s><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Technical characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>These are rubber-tired gantry cranes with 135-ton structures. Their main features include: a lifting capacity of 41 tons, 51 tons under exceptional load conditions, a lifting height of up to 18.1 meters (5+1 containers), a clearance between legs for 6 containers, and truck access. They are equipped with integrated Siemens controls by Konecranes.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This is an environmentally friendly machine, featuring advanced lithium-ion battery technology and a power management system that monitors the charge level and overall battery condition. It also includes an eco-efficient diesel engine that charges the batteries as needed. This system reduces diesel consumption by half compared to conventional RTGs. <\/p>\n\n<p><a><\/a>CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal is the largest public container terminal in Spain, with an operating capacity of 4.5M TEUs and a geostrategic location that makes it the reference terminal in the Mediterranean arc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valencia, December 20, 2023.
