The unloading of three yachts from the APL Savannah, a vessel arriving from Australia, was made possible through the collaboration of all parties involved.

CSP Iberian Valencia terminal has expert personnel and the necessary machinery: spreaders, slings, and hooks under a gantry crane with the capacity and dimensions required for safe handling. This type of activity is more complex than the typical cargo handled at the container terminal and has been made possible thanks to the coordination of all the stakeholders involved, from the shipping line client CMA CGM, Peters & May, a world leader in yacht operations, and the other parties involved at the Port of Valencia.

The container ship that was transporting the cargo is part of the CMA CGM fleet, specifically it operates on the New North Europe Med Oceania service, the only direct service from Australia to Europe.

The dimensions of the yachts averaged between 25 and 37 tons, and the largest of these had a length of more than 20 meters, a beam of more than 5 meters, and a height of 8 meters.

CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal has the necessary resources to carry out these types of operations. This is in addition to the necessary coordination of the departments and teams involved.

COSCO SHIPPING Ports (Spain) Terminals is a leading port operator in Spain with two maritime terminals in Valencia and Bilbao, two rail terminals in Zaragoza and Madrid (Conterail), a rail operator and a railway company, CSP Logitren.

· 3 yachts from Australia unload at the Valencia dock, one of which weighs over 37 tons • Project cargo operations are made possible by the terminal’s operational efficiency and flexibility, as they go beyond the typical unloading operations of port terminals.
