Aurelio Mart\u00ednez and Sun Kai celebrated this afternoon the commissioning of the new machinery acquired by CSP Spain with the aim of improving service and productivity in the yard.<\/p>\n\n

\u00b7 After three months of assembly and connection work, the 6 new pneumatic yard cranes, RTGs, will be working at full capacity before the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n

This purchase is part of the investment plan presented by the company in June and represents a firm commitment to Valencia as a strategic port for international maritime traffic and a boost to overcome the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n

Today, at the CSP Spain group’s Valencia terminal, the installation of six new RTGs was celebrated. The small event was presided over by the president of the Port Authority of Valencia, Aurelio Mart\u00ednez, and the group’s CEO, Sun Kai. <\/p>\n\n

The addition of this new machinery is part of the group’s investment plan for the next three years, totaling \u20ac62 million. The inaugural event marks the commissioning of the six RTGs in the terminal’s yard. The aim of this new addition is to increase the yard’s capacity and productivity. This objective is supported by other developments, such as the expansion of the yard, which currently has an operational area of \u200b\u200b145 hectares. <\/p>\n\n

In recent months, and despite the pandemic, the Port of Valencia has broken traffic records, and this growth is expected to continue in the coming years. Recognizing this trend, CSP Spain is seeking to enhance its services and improve its productivity, playing a key role in boosting the Port of Valencia both locally and internationally. <\/p>\n\n

The six new RTGs are wheeled gantry cranes with proven reliability and productivity. They are environmentally friendly thanks to their efficient diesel engine with a fuel-saving system, the incorporation of electric mechanisms instead of traditional hydraulic ones, 100% LED lighting, and low maintenance requirements. <\/p>\n\n

CSP Spain’s investment plan in Valencia aims to stimulate the sector, since, as Francisco Toledo, President of State Ports, stated, ports are not only a gateway for entry and exit, but also logistics centers, key links in the logistics chain.<\/p>\n\n
