Valencia, April 10, 2025. The ISTMO vessel, operated by CTM, has returned to the CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal facilities, after spending several weeks in dry dock for maintenance and refurbishment work.
With a length of 175.5 meters, a beam of 27.4 meters and a displacement of over 23,000 tons, the ISTMO has a capacity of 1,738 TEUs and is part of the regular service between the Mediterranean and Cuba, with a direct stop between Valencia and the port of Mariel.
During this stopover, the vessel performed over 550 terminal movements, demonstrating both its operational importance and the terminal’s capacity to efficiently manage this type of transoceanic traffic. The service’s bi-weekly frequency helps strengthen connectivity between the Port of Valencia and the Caribbean, consolidating the Valencian port as a strategic hub within international maritime routes.
At CSP Spain, we thank CTM for the trust placed in our facilities and our team, which is key to providing an agile, safe and high-quality service to our clients.
