CONTRACT FOR THE EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE TPC OF THE PORT OF VALENCIA
COASTAL PIER TERMINAL AND 100′ LANE STS CRANES ON EAST PIER
The aim of the works is to improve the facilities at the Costa Wharf and the East Wharf. At the Costa Wharf, the existing facilities will be adapted for the temporary storage of empty containers, becoming part of the Port of Valencia’s Public Container Terminal. This will also allow for the relocation of some of the cranes currently operating at the Príncipe Felipe Wharf to the Costa Wharf. To service these cranes, a crane rail will be installed 100 feet from the quayside, as there are currently rails on the wharf’s superstructure to service 50-foot container cranes.
At the East Wharf, Noatum Container Terminal Valencia will upgrade its facilities by adding a new lane for 100-foot cranes. Noatum is tendering the contract for this project through an open procedure to ensure maximum transparency, competition, equal treatment, and non-discrimination among bidders or suppliers, with the aim of obtaining the offer that best combines price and technical aspects of the works being tendered. The tender period began on May 7, 2014, at 12:00 PM, and the deadline for submitting bids is July 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM, as indicated in the Legal Terms and Conditions.
All participants are reminded that the contract being tendered is a private contract and not an administrative contract. This contract will be governed by the provisions of the Legal Terms and Conditions (PCJ), the Technical Specifications (PPT), and all other documentation included in the tender. Interested parties or bidders may submit their proposals in accordance with the procedure established in these documents.
