Shanghai, November 6, 2019.
CSP Spain, together with COSCO Shipping Ports, is participating throughout this week in what has become the business event of the year in China, the CIIE (China International Import Expo) in its second edition.
The fair has brought together more than 80 countries and 270,000 companies with commercial activity in China and has 270,000 square meters of exhibition space divided into 8 pavilions.
The expedition of the Spanish port operator is being led by its CEO, Mr. Sun Kai, and the CCO, Mr. Juan Ortí.
CSP Spain is showcasing to the Asian country the full potential it can offer in Spain through its port and intermodal services, which perfectly meet the needs of Chinese companies, being a key element in the “Belt and Road” initiative that aims to revive the original Silk Road.
The Spanish operator has taken advantage of the event to present its new corporate image in Asia.
The company was also present at the World Shipping Summit, where the world’s leading port operators and shipping lines met to strengthen synergies and collaboration agreements.
In statements to CCTV – China Central Television, Mr. Juan Ortí expressed his full commitment to the inaugural message of Chinese President Mr. Xi Jinping, where he highlighted his country’s commitment to continue opening its markets and optimizing its structures.
Mr. Xi emphasized the need to work together to build a more open global economy through cooperation, innovation, and mutual benefit.
“Once again, we are impressed by the scale of this fair and the intensity with which the city of Shanghai has dedicated itself to providing us with an exemplary organization,” added Ortí.
