
Valencia, April 16, 2026 – COSCO SHIPPING Ports Spain (CSP Spain) announces the restructuring of its senior management team, marking the beginning of a new corporate phase aimed at strengthening its strategic positioning, optimizing the management of its different business lines, and defining the group’s future strategy in Spain.
Elías García Gutiérrez is stepping down from his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will retire in January 2027 after nearly 30 years with the company. Elías will remain linked to the organization until the end of this year as Senior Advisor, contributing to ensuring an effective transition of the group’s key strategic projects.
Gustavo Ferrer Soriano has been appointed Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Spain.
Gustavo will take on the operational management of the group’s terminals.
Juan Ortí Llatas has been appointed Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Spain.
Juan will be responsible for the commercial, logistics, and intermodal management of the group’s terminals.
In parallel, and as part of this transition and generational change process, Javier Fernández de la Llave will progressively assume the management of the group’s Valencia subsidiary, CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, succeeding Gustavo Ferrer in his current role, with the aim of ensuring operational continuity and the development of one of the group’s main assets in Spain.
