Ken Chan, formerly CEO of COSCO Shipping Ports Peru’s Chancay terminal, has assumed the role of CEO of CSP Spain. Chan has been a member of the group’s board of directors since 2017. He succeeds Sun Kai, who has led the company for the past three years and has returned to China.
Ken Chan’s objective is to continue strengthening the efficiency of the terminals and improving customer service. He will lead the company with a focus on enhancing competitiveness through elite management centered on developing advanced operations and implementing cutting-edge technology across all business areas. The company’s strategic location, thanks to the seaports of Valencia and Bilbao, combined with its rail network, makes it an essential hub for transport and logistics, connecting destinations throughout the Iberian Peninsula with the world.
Ken served as Deputy Managing Director of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Ltd. for 14 years before becoming CEO of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Chancay Peru from 2019 to 2021. He has been responsible for investment projects, corporate management, sales and marketing, and security. The company’s new CEO has over 25 years of professional experience in the port industry.
CSP Spain is a leading port operator in Spain with two maritime terminals in Valencia and Bilbao and two intermodal terminals in Zaragoza and Madrid. In addition, the group has a rail operator, CSP Iberian Rail Services, created to improve connections between its four terminals and offer a comprehensive door-to-door service across the Iberian Peninsula.
