Valencia, October 10, 2019.
The leading container terminal in the Mediterranean, CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, part of the COSCO Shipping Ports (Spain) Terminals (CSP Spain) group has today received the inaugural ship of the new service that will connect the Mediterranean with the Black Sea.
This new line of short sea shipping and regular character, is called BSMM “Black Sea Marmara Service” and will be operated by 3 ships (2XCMA-1XCOSCO) of 2500 Teu of nominal capacity and during its route will scale in the ports of Valencia, Algeciras, Casablanca, Marsaxlokk, Piraeus, Istanbul (Yilport), Odessa, Constance, Istanbul (Ambarli) & Aliaga.
The service will consist of 4 ships (3XCMA-CGM + 1XCOSCO) and where the Asian OOCL and the Dutch “Nile Dutch” will have weekly spaces.
With a length of 208 meters, a width of 29.80 and a nominal capacity of 2526 TEU, MV Jan Ritscher has made the first scale of the new service. A new service that will increase the connectivity of the container terminal of the CSP Spain group and strengthen business relationships.
A new milestone for CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal that thanks to its strategic location and its technical characteristics make it the axis of passage of the main services of Short sea Shipping.
