
Valencia, October 10, 2019.
The leading container terminal in the Mediterranean, CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, part of the COSCO Shipping Ports (Spain) Terminals group (CSP Spain), today received the inaugural vessel of the new service that will connect the Mediterranean with the Black Sea.
This new short sea shipping line with regular service is called BSMM “Black Sea Marmara Service” and will be operated by 3 vessels (2XCMA-1XCOSCO) with a nominal capacity of 2500 Teu and during its route it will call at the ports of Valencia, Algeciras, Casablanca, Marsaxlokk, Piraeus, Istanbul (Yilport), Odessa, Constanta, Istanbul (Ambarli) & Aliaga.
The service will consist of 4 ships (3XCMA-CGM + 1XCOSCO) and where the Asian OOCL and the Dutch “Nile Dutch” will have weekly slots.
With a length of 208 meters, a beam of 29.80 meters, and a nominal capacity of 2,526 TEU, the MV Jan Ritscher has made the first call of the new service. This new service will increase connectivity for the CSP Spain group’s container terminal and strengthen trade relations.
A new milestone for CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, which, thanks to its strategic location and technical characteristics, becomes the hub for the main Short sea Shipping services.

COSCO SHIPPING Ports (Spain) Terminals is a leading port operator in Spain with two maritime terminals in Valencia (CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, CSPV) and Bilbao (CSP Iberian Bilbao Terminal, CSPB) and two intermodal terminals in Zaragoza (CSP Iberian Rail Zaragoza Terminal, CSPZ) and Madrid (Conterail).
