On July 2nd, the pilot test of the Sauron project will be carried out in the port of Valencia via online access.

The SAURON project addresses the theme CIP-01-2016-2017: Prevention, detection, response, and mitigation of combined physical and cyber threats to Europe’s critical infrastructure and focuses on the protection of EU ports within the Transport Infrastructure and Means of Transport type of CI. The main objective of SAURON is to develop a Situational Awareness (SA) system to help port operators anticipate and withstand potential cyber, physical, or combined threats to their cargo and freight business and the safety of their employees, visitors, passengers, and citizens in the surrounding area.

The proposed SAURON system will be tested and validated in the context of a terrorist attack scenario at the CSP Spain Container Terminal in the Port of Valencia.
