· With the aim of improving services and dwell times for carriers, the terminal extends its opening hours from 06:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday
Valencia, March 29, 2021
Following several meetings between the CSP Spain group, the Port Authority of Valencia, and transport associations, it has been decided to extend the terminal’s opening hours. Starting next Tuesday, April 13, the access gates for land transport will be open Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
To improve services and reduce wait times for carriers at the terminal, the first part of the day (6:00 to 8:00 AM) is reserved for container collection orders, regardless of whether they are for imports or empty deliveries. This aims to reduce waiting times, a key concern for terminal users, and to ensure the best possible operational efficiency during gate opening hours.
Regarding the closing time of the access gates, it should be noted that, although the closing time is 9:00 PM, the service will be completed for vehicles that remain inside the premises.
Weekend schedules will remain the same, Saturdays from 08:00 to 14:00, and there is no land activity on Sundays.
Since 2019, the terminal has had 10 entry lanes and 7 exit lanes, all equipped with an integrated OCR system. This system automatically records truck and cargo data. This process, which cross-references the collected information with data previously received from Valenciaportpcs, streamlines the management and handling of road traffic at the terminal. When the truck arrives at the automatic gate and positions itself on the weighbridge, the driver simply scans the barcode or enters the provided access code on the kiosk’s touchscreen.
