Zaragoza, July 5, 2023. CSP Spain has won the tender to renew the lease for the Zaragoza PLAZA rail terminal, surpassing all other bids in both technical and financial terms. This was revealed during the public opening of the bids on Tuesday, July 4th.

Over the past 10 years, CSP Spain has handled more than 100,000 TEUs annually at the Zaragoza PLAZA rail terminal and has successfully established valuable routes to Spain’s major ports, including Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, and Bilbao. CSP Spain’s management has also facilitated the establishment of regular services between Spain and Portugal, and, most notably in the last year, the connection from Morocco to Zaragoza.
CSP Spain’s project involves an investment of over €2 million to improve the general facilities, including access, upgrades to yard machinery, and improved systems. All of this will enhance the operational efficiency and productivity of the rail terminal, benefiting its customers, shipping lines, transport companies, and customs authorities.
The Zaragoza PLAZA rail terminal boasts a key geostrategic location for rail connections in Spain. Its excellent facilities make it one of the most important rail logistics hubs on the General Interest Rail Network.
